MAGGIE’S CENTRE, CAMBRIDGE
FEBRUARY 2025

The Architect's Journal has published a news article on our project for a new Maggie's Centre in Cambridge. The new Maggie’s Centre is planned to support the patient community at Addenbrooke’s Hospital. It will replace a temporary facility that has been located in repurposed flats for over ten years. The new, purpose-built centre will provide people affected by cancer with comforting and inspiring spaces to decompress, seek support, and participate in activities, away from the clinical hospital environment. STEAM DAY
FEBRUARY 2025

Last week, NMLA volunteered in Acland Burghley’s STEAM Day where secondary school students were offered a day of workshops around the subjects of science, technology, engineering, art & maths.
Anne and Eoghan held two-hour long drawing and model making workshops with Y9 & Y10. Students were asked to brainstorm ideas for how their school environment could be improved and were then encouraged to explore architectural proposals through drawing and modelmaking.
We thoroughly enjoyed the day and were inspired by the students’ engagement, creative responses, and willingness to learn modelmaking!
